Our signature service
Two replasters can look identical on fill day and age completely differently. The one that fails at year five skipped the boring parts: a real chip-out instead of a skim over old plaster, a proper bond coat, plaster hydrated and troweled at the right pace, and a disciplined 28-day startup while the finish cures underwater.
We do the boring parts. Drain and chip-out, crack and hollow-spot repair while the shell is exposed, bond coat, finish application by crews that do this daily — then a startup schedule with the water chemistry managed so the surface cures hard and even.
Because the pool is already drained, a replaster is also the cheapest moment to replace waterline tile, upgrade light fixtures or fix coping. We'll flag what's worth pairing — and what isn't.
Finish options
The traditional bright-turquoise water look and the most affordable finish. Typical life: 8–12 years.
Blue and gray tints that deepen the water color — the finish in our hero photo above.
Plaster blended with quartz aggregate: harder, more stain-resistant, richer color. 12–18 years.
The most durable surface with natural texture and lagoon-like color. 18–25 years.
New tile installed while the pool is empty — one drain, two upgrades.
Cracks, hollow spots and rusted fittings fixed properly while we can actually see them.
How it works
Water disposed of legally, old plaster mechanically removed — not skimmed over.
Cracks and hollow spots fixed, fittings replaced, bond coat applied to the raw shell.
The finish applied and hand-troweled in one continuous operation — timing is everything.
Continuous fill, then 28 days of managed chemistry while the finish cures underwater.
Replastering is our highest-volume service — especially in cities with large stocks of pools from the '60s through the '90s.
Rough patches that scrape feet, gray mottling, stains that won't brush off, thin spots showing dark gunite, or chemistry that never stays balanced. Two or more and you're due.
It scales with pool size, surface condition and finish choice — white plaster is the most affordable, quartz and pebble cost more and last longer. Every quote is free, itemized and finish-by-finish.
Typically 1–2 weeks from drain to refill, plus the 28-day cure period during which you can swim but chemistry stays on a schedule.
An acid wash buys a tired finish a season or two and thins it further. Patches show. Once plaster is failing broadly, replastering is the only fix that actually resets the clock.

"We scheduled an appointment to replace our Haywood heater and after seeing their worked, we asked about our pool tiles that have fallen off and were loose. They drained the pool & spa down a bit and took care of it. Yippee, they brought new life back into our 20 year old pool! We highly recommend Creative Edge Pools & Spas for any pool repairs. I was completely impressed with their work. A job well done! Alice Hill"

"Creative Edge Pools & Spas came in and did an amazing job taking off some water heaters for our roofing company. They took extra care to ensure no damage to all the components of the heating system and took precautions to tarp over pool equipment at the bottom. Furthermore they went the extra mile to ensure they didn't put up just any pvc for the installation after roof was installed. Edgar went out of his way to special order a very specific type of PVC material to ensure code compliance and a leak free system that will last for years to come! Will be using his services again! Thank you to the helpful staff over at Creative Edge Pools & Spas"
